St. John Missionary Baptist Church values fellowship and the importance of ministering to others. We are all Gods children in all walks of life and its our goal within our ministries to continue Gods work by building a faithful community full of love and support. God gave us a purpose to put our blessings into action and share within the world of christ.
Missionary Ministry
About
The Missionary Ministry is an opportunity for members of St. John to give back to the community by fulfilling outreach missions to address human needs with compassion and service, reflecting Christ's love in action, such as fundraising, collecting item donations, feeding the homeless, etc. The significance of reaching to the community with support and praise is what this ministry values the most in their work.
Purpose Statement: To share the Gospel of Jesus Christ by reaching out, connecting, and transforming the hearts and souls of those who are lost.
Vision Statement: To create a lasting impact by guiding the lost or downtrodden to a fulfilling relationship with Jesus Christ, fostering hope and spiritual renewal.
Plan: To develop a dedicated team of missionary workers through education, training, and a deeper understanding of Christ's teachings, equipping them to serve and make a difference in the world.

Partnerships
St. John Missionary Ministry is now in partnership with “Open Door House Ministry.” St. John will join “Open Door Ministry” on the 2nd Tuesday of each month starting July 9th to feed the homeless. We will be set up on West Vine street under the bridge across from the transit building in downtown Lexington. Note: clothing, shoes, toiletries, socks, personal items for women, food, snacks, water, and servers to serve. Any donations are excepted.

Pastor’s Aid Ministry
About
The Pastor’s Aid mission is to fulfill the biblical responsibilities of providing for the pastors needs; ensure that the pastor is able to faithfully and effectively fulfill his pastoral responsibilities and support his endeavors. Also, to bring assistance, comfort, and support to our pastor and his family as they follow God.

Children’s Church Ministry
About
The Children’s Church Ministry’s mission is to work to serve the children of our church by helping them to learn biblical principles, Galatians 5:22-23 (ERV) - (vs22) But the fruit that the Spirit produces in a person's life is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, (vs 23) gentleness, and self control. There is no law against these kinds of things. Teaching them what faith in God consists of who Jesus is, and the comfort, power, and guidance of the Holy Spirit. And why Jesus is the only way to be reconciled to God.
Goal: To teach the children of SJMBC through a range of auxiliaries, programs, and activities. “Teach children in a way that fits their needs, and even when they are old, they will not leave the right path.” - Proverbs 22:6 ERV

NU Creation Youth & Young Adults Ministry
About
Nu Creation Ministry's ultimate mission is to strive to influence and empower the youth/young adult generation in a positive way and shed light on other ways that youth can serve the Lord. As well as reaching out to young souls, establishing a strong foundation, shaping, and molding the current generation.
"As you've noticed, there have been fewer young people in church in recent years." - Statement from a youth member.
The older generation should continue to create a human shield of love, protection, encouragement, and support around the younger generation in order to attract more youth to church. As they say, “It Takes A Village.”

Usher Board Ministry
About
The Ushers' Ministry seeks to be a doorkeeper in the house of God, receive visitors and members in a Christ-like fashion to provide comfort and support to the worshippers, to ensure that worship is carried out respectfully and in order. And to perform ushering duties in a cheer manner.
Mission Statement: To welcome and assist worshipers, maintain order, and meet the needs of the congregation.
Purpose Statement: To create a welcome and orderly environment for worship services.
Plan: Train all ushers in essential tasks like greeting guest with a smile, directing them to seats, assisting with special needs, managing offering collection, and maintaining order during services.

Liturgical Dance Ministry: Power of Prophecy
About
As part of the Power Of Prophecy Liturgical Dance Ministry, they express their extreme possibilities for miraculous healing, how to meditate to overcome trials and tribulations, how to minister to others through testimonial experiences from various life journeys, and how to share our experiences in an uplifting and praise and worship way. It is their mission as praise dance worshippers to win souls to Christ, demonstrate the plan and purpose God has for our lives. There is no limit to what God can do, God never fails, and God is everything to us.

Although the word “trustee” does not appear in the Bible, we are reminded that we are to be good “stewards” of that which God has blessed us with. The Trustee Board is, therefore, the ministry of caring for the management and distribution of funds. They are to hold in ‘trust” legal documents of property and other business, assist the Pastor in budget development and monitoring of financial matters of the church.
